Why Your Muscles Shake, And Why That Is a Good Sign

Why Your Muscles Shake, And Why That Is a Good Sign

The shake is recruitment, not failure. A short piece on what is happening underneath your muscles during slow-motion resistance.

The Neuromuscular Phenomenon

Involuntary muscular tremors happen when motor units fatigue under sustained load and the central nervous system rapidly recruits adjacent fibers to take over. This rapid handover produces the signature Lagree shake.

Seeing and feeling the shake is proof that you are training past superficial compensation into deep muscular adaptation.

Conclusion

When the trembling begins, don't back away: breathe through it and stay in the tension. That is where physical transformation happens.
